High pressure processing (HPP) is a food preservation method you may not have heard about. It is not pasteurization because it doesn't involve heating food. Instead, a tremendous pressure (like that experienced in underwater marine trenches) is applied to juices, meat, and ready-to-eat meals. The technology claims to extend shelf life and maintain the freshness of foods. However, it is not able to eliminate all microbes or inactivate spores. And, of course, there are no long-term studies looking at potential impacts on human health. The dairy industry is exploring HPP as a method to produce "safe raw milk" with a longer shelf life, although the process does alter the milk's texture, color, and potentially its nutritional qualities. Limited research suggests that HPP-treated foods and beverages may not offer the same benefits to health as their truly raw counterparts. 

A lot of people have been asking about the health benefits of methylene blue, so it was time for me to take a deep dive into it. I didn't know that methylene blue (MB) is actually the parent molecule for chloroquine (which includes hydroxychloroquine). I knew I was going to like it immediately! Besides having antiviral aspects, MB helps mitochondrial respiration (the energy factories in our cells). It also improves brain energy metabolism, which results in improved cognitive performance. Besides all that, it prevents neurodegeneration (brain cell and nerve system damage). 

Menopause is the time that marks the end of the female menstrual cycle. It's officially classified after going 12 months without a menstrual period. Menopause can happen in the 40s or 50s, but the average age is 51 in the United States. While menopause is a natural biological process, it represents a major transition in womanhood as significant as a young teenage girl starting her first period. Passing through the front door and exiting the back door of child bearing is not only a physical experience, but a defining emotional, mental, social, and spiritual one too.

Dentists and toothpaste manufacturers support the use of fluoride on the surface of teeth and there is some science suggesting that it does help harden teeth. However, when it comes to ingesting fluoride, that is a completely different story.
