| In his thorough and convincing book, How to End the Autism Epidemic
, J.B. Handley offers several helpful suggestions that if applied could dramatically reduce the risk of autism in our children.
First, lower the total number of vaccines given to American children. In the U.S. there are 13 different vaccines on the CDC recommended schedule. Most are given to children between two and four times: (1) hepatitis B, (2) rotavirus, (3) DTaP, (4) Hib, (5) PCT, (6) polio, (7) influenza, (8) MMR, (9) varicella, (10) hepatitis A, (11) meningococcal, (12) Tdap, (13) HPV. That works out to be 38 inoculations before age 5. |
