What is Carrageenan?

Controversy surrounds this popular food additive. Big name brands use this cheap additive because they feel it improves consumer satisfaction. But, carrageenan poses a serious inflammation health risk when consumed long-term. Carrageenan is extracted from certain types of red seaweed. But that doesn't ensure it stays natural. The food industry uses it as a processing aid in food, particularly in dairy, plant-based beverages, and processed meat products (film coating). It is used as a 'fining' agent in the production of beer and wine, meaning that it is used in processing, but it is not added to the final product. It provides no nutritional value, but is used as a stabilizer, thickening agent, or emulsifier to enhance the 'mouth feel,' which the industry views as critical to meeting consumer expectations.

Are You A Mosquito Magnet?

Most mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, bedbugs, and horseflies require the protein in blood to develop a batch of eggs. Only the female mosquito feeds on blood. Males feed on plant nectar, which they convert to energy for flying. So, feeding on blood is very important for the female mosquito's reproductive cycle. How to feed and not get killed in the process is a mosquito's goal. Watch this video to see the disturbing process from the female mosquito's viewpoint. Ouch!

The Truth About Watermelons

Watermelon season will soon be coming again this summer. While watermelons are mostly water (90%), they are also full of a surprising amount of nutrition. Can something so sweet and tasty be good for us? Watermelon is high in natural sugars, but because they contain so much water, they are actually low on the glycemic index and don't spike blood sugar when you eat them. Watermelon is loaded with vitamins A, B6, and C, lycopene, antioxidants and minerals. Just one cup of watermelon has 1.5 times the lycopene of a fresh, large tomato. And who can eat just one cup of watermelon? Lycopene is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that plays a vital role in protecting the cardiovascular system, supporting bone health, and preventing cancer. Watermelons are probably the highest source of lycopene from natural foods. Another powerful phytochemical is citrulline—an animo acid that gets converted into L-arginine in the body. L-arginine is used to create nitric oxide (NO) which benefits the heart and blood vessels. NO causes blood vessels to relax and open up. This lowers blood pressure, helping to get more oxygen to the cells.

Vaccines Have Not Saved Millions of Lives

The reason the U.S. government gave vaccine manufacturers immunity against liability is because they convinced the Reagan White House that vaccines could not be made safe and that they would always injure certain people. According to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., vaccine makers were given blanket immunity "no matter how grievous the injury, no matter how reckless the behavior, no matter how shoddy their manufacturing and testing processes and the reason we gave them that liability shield is because they were able to convince the Reagan White House that vaccines could not be made safe. They're going to injure certain people." So, why is there even an argument about whether vaccines are safe and effective? Vaccine makers admitted in 1986 that vaccines could not be made safe for everyone and the government agreed with them! The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) trumpets that vaccine injuries are rare—only 1 in 1 million. But that is a blatant propaganda lie. The CDC studied the question in 2010 and published the Lazarus Study which revealed that the real-world injury rate is 2.6%, which equates to 1 in 37 people!

The Science on Cellphone Radiation

It shouldn't surprise anyone, but Big Tech plays by the same rules as Big Pharma and Big Tobacco. Despite a $30 million "gold standard" study demonstrating clear cancer risks from cellphone radiation, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the telecom industry continue to spin the science to create doubt. The FDA claims there is not enough scientific evidence to link cellphone use to health problems. But the FDA's claim is untrue and misleading according to Devra Davis, Ph.D., MPH, a toxicologist and epidemiologist and author of more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in books and journals. She is the founding director of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the U.S. National Research Council at the National Academy of Sciences. She is also the founder and president of Environmental Health Trust—clearly someone with the background to expose the hidden truth.
