Symptoms associated with this variant have been reported as mild and much less concerning that those with Delta. This corroborates what we know about viral evolution. It is common for viruses to become less problematic over time despite their increased mutations. The only people who are worried about the Omicron mutations are the vaccine manufacturers because mutations render their current vaccines obsolete.
