Service has progressed from voice only (1G: 1980s) to voice and limited data (2G: 1990s), to voice, data, and internet service (3G: 2000s), to multimedia streaming and worldwide roaming (4G: 2010s), to the promise of superfast, no-wait service and the Internet of Things where everything is connected, cars can drive themselves, and your pill bottle orders your next refill (5G: 2021). Cell phones have as much power as laptops but are smaller and more mobile.
The technological benefits of 5G are bright, shiny and enticing. What could be bad? Well, the price tag hides many of the details. It turns out there are some serious health concerns associated with wireless technology. The issue surrounds the nature of electromagnetic fields (EMFs). 5G is going to expose us to A LOT of radiation. 4G is not going away. All 4G equipment will remain with their 200,000 cell towers operating at 6 GHz or less. 5G will add millions of small cell antennas that will be located on lampposts and utility poles within 300 feet of each other (every 3 to 10 houses). They will operate at 24 to 30 GHz (millimeter wavelength). In addition, 50,000 low-earth satellites will be launched to blanket the earth with energy in that bandwidth so that every part of the earth is connected to the system. What are the ramifications of blanketing the earth with this type of pulsing energy? You can read more about these health concerns in an upcoming post.
Fiber optic cable is actually faster than 5G and light does not emanate harmful EMF like the wireless system does. While some wireless is always needed to connect mobile devices, a backbone of fiber optics would have connected the world in a much safer and faster way. But installing cable is labor intensive and costly. So, the industry opted for an entirely wireless solution. Unfortunately, the cost of EMF damage to human health, animals, birds and even insects may prove to be catastrophic.
Strengthening your immune system will be imperative as the world becomes bombarded with exponentially increasing electromagnetic energy. For helpful solutions on how to avoid harmful food, find plant-based supplements, and use the science of glycobiology to improve your health, see my book here.
